About CoolTweets

CoolTweets is run by David Sparks of DigitalSkraps.com.

CoolTweets began as a Twitter account where David posted found cool stuff from around the web.

As a front end web developer and RSS addict, David was constantly exposed to the most up to date information and just generally cool stuff that pops up around the internet.

For fear of losing friends or being blocked on aim he rarely shared stuff and only linking friends to the coolest of the cool, but what about the tons of other stuf that was just as cool!?

So CoolTweets began. With the advent of BrightKit, making managing multiple accounts, shrinking links, sheduling posts and now their new “Hootlet” bookmark CoolTweets became easier and easier to update and run.

Soon after David wanted to increase traffic, find a way to share the links with friends of his who aren’t on twitter, provide a way to RSS all these great links and hopefully add new features in the future. A web site recieving the posts from Twitter was the first obvious next step. CoolTweets.com being taken (booooooooooooo) and after toying with various other url ideas, TweetCool.com was close enough.

Thats the story behind CoolTweets and this site. I hope you guys enjoy the site and find it fun, useful and inspirational. I believe there’s something here for everybody!

CoolTweets is updated every hour, on the hour.

I dont do a lot of updating on the weekends as I like to stay away from the comp as much as I’m allowed. The occasional update isn’t unheard of though!
